Your Right to Erasure
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023, you have the right to request the deletion of all personal data VaaniAI holds about you. This includes call recordings, transcripts, lead information, contact details, and any linked account data.
How to Request Deletion
Email our Data Protection Officer
Send an email to our DPO with "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line. Include:
- Your full name
- Registered email address and/or phone number
- A brief description of what data you want deleted (or "all data")
- Proof of identity (any government ID — for verification only)
Delete from your account (self-service)
If you have an active VaaniAI account, you can delete most of your data yourself:
- Log in to your dashboard
- Go to Settings → Privacy & Data
- Click "Request Account Deletion"

What Will Be Deleted
Timeline
We process all verified data deletion requests within 72 hours. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been permanently erased from our production systems. Encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
Legal Retention Exceptions
Certain data may be retained beyond deletion requests when required by Indian law, such as: tax/invoice records (8 years per GST Act), telecom call detail records (180 days per TRAI), and audit logs for ongoing legal investigations. Such retained data is kept in encrypted, restricted-access archives and is not used for any other purpose.
Revoke Third-Party Access
If you connected a third-party service (Google, Shopify, etc.) to VaaniAI, you can also revoke access directly from that provider:
- Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Facebook: facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
